Black & WYATT RECORDS SHOWCASE

On December 15, 2023 artists who have released albums on our label performed at B-Side Memphis. This was both a holiday party and a celebration of the first 5 years of our label. Opossums

The Oposssums were the opening act for the Showcase. Black & Wyatt Records released he Opossums self-titled debut album in August 2019. The Opossums were Patrick Jordan (guitar and lead vocal), Jesse Mansfield (bass) and Liv Hernandez (drums). Tyler Harrington (guitar) recently joined the Opossums and played at the Showcase which featured a bunch of new songs, including one song so new that it had not been named at the time of the show.

TYLER KEITH & THE REVELATIONS

B & W has released Tyler’s two latest albums. In 2020 we released THE LAST DRAG by Tyler and in 2023 we released HELL TO PAY by Tyler Keith and the Apostles. Tyler couldn’t round up all of his Apostles for the Showcase, but instead was joined by Max Hipp of the Apostles (guitar, vocals), Jeremy Scott (bass, vocals) and Abe White (drums).

JACK OBLIVIAN & THE SHEIKS

THE FINAL SET OF THE EVENING WAS BY JACK OBLIVIAN AND THE SHEIKS. THE FIRST 12” LP RECORD RELEASED BY B & W was LOST WEEKEND BY JACK OBLIVIAN AND THE DREAM KILLERS. THERE NEVER WAS A REAL BAND CALLED THE DREAM KILLERS THOUGH and almost all of the TRAcks were recorded at HOME BY JACK. IN 2020 WE Re-RELEASED LONE RANGER OF LOVE BY JACK O & THE SHEIKS. THE ORIGINAL SHEIKS ARE GRAHAM WINCHESTER (drums), KEITH COOPER (GUITAR) AND FRANK MCCLALLEn (BASS). SETH MOODY LATER JOINED JACK’s BAND ON SAX AND KEYBOARDS. ALL OF THEM WERE PRESENT FOR THIS SHOWCASE PERFORMANCE.
